Many current metaphysical authors may be found in the relatively new genre of New Science/Spirituality. Gregg Braden is one of the best.
     He is the bestselling author of The God Code, Walking Between Worlds and Awakening to Zero Point.
     He was recently seen in Sharron Rose’s 2012 The Odyssey DVD, and heard collaborating with Jonathan Goldman on various Healing Sounds audio productions.
     A former high technology worker, he now bridges the gulf between science/technology and spirituality.
     In this new book he takes the reader to the very heart of the big questions in life and how we can empower ourselves in this increasingly complex world. We can do more than we think.
     In this book the reader will find much that will clarify what the various authors and teachers have to say in the wildly popular The Secret and its spin off books and other media. In positing a Divine Matrix, Gregg Braden deals with the stuff that is everywhere, in all space and all time. We are part of it.
     He arranges his material by progressing from science of the last 100 years, through how we are all connected and then how we can read the mirrors of creation and consciously create the universe around us.
     The style is highly accessible. Interspersed with the relatively ‘hard’ science are anecdotes from wisdom literature, history and Mr Braden’s own experiences.
     In side-bars throughout there are the Keys to Conscious Creation which pertain to each section. All the Keys are listed in the last section.
     Although this is a spiritual book, it does not presume the reader’s adherence to a particular religion. Many references are made to various wisdom streams, but all are explained in the context of the overarching nature of the Divine Matrix.
     Part One deals with the new science that breaks the old mechanistic paradigms. Mr Braden quotes Max Planck, Niels Bohr, Albert Einstein and many others from the exciting period of 20th century physics and scientific philosophy. He gives a brief history of physics. Even a non-scientific reader like me can understand most of the material presented.
     The implications from the latest experiments and theories point to a universe in which everyone and everything participates. The stuff which binds everything together and connects us all is termed the Divine Matrix (DM). The reader will be shown just how it connects us.
     Part Two examines how our existence influences the DM and how it influences us.
     An intriguing concept presented in this section is the holographic universe. On this concept hangs much of what later enables us to understand how we can create from tiny beginnings, yet influence everything by so doing.
     At no time is Mr Braden found to be negative in his attitude or tone and that is his great strength here. The reader will begin to see why he acts as a bridge from science to spirituality, for he shows us the bridge between imagination and reality.
     As those delightful Goons so happily put it, “It’s all in the mind, you know.” When the imagination is coupled with emotion, our creativity truly knows no bounds.
     Part Three explores how the DM communicates with us and how we can decipher these often cryptic messages.
     The author suggests five mirrors of relationship which show us what we need to know to adjust our reality. Our language is replete with references to these mirrors. It is essential to know that our personal relationships reflect our true beliefs.
     Mr Braden tells how to recognise mirrors of reality when they occur, to identify what they are telling us and how to use the imagination and emotion to change what we need to change. This is where the 20 Keys come into effect. There is no doubt in my mind that each of us can consciously create our own reality. We just need the right information and a bit of a nudge to fly.
     It is not enough to simply skim through this book. It needs to be read closely for there are important messages contained within.
     The reader is encouraged to experience this book rather than simply read it. The information must be digested, understood, assimilated and the suggestions put into practice.
     If you are willing to approach this book with your imagination awake with an open heart and mind, you will most certainly change your world perception to whatever is the best reality in your own personal part of this universe. This may once have been but is no longer a secret. We can all do it with our eyes closed!
     I recommend this book to all readers interested in empowerment to change not only themselves but their entire existence in their universe. It is a worthy offering from Mr Braden, who is the very model of a modern metaphysician.
